How many times have you gone out on the lake only to be towed back to the dock by a "better" jet ski? It happens, it's part of the jet ski lifestyle and you should be prepared for it to happen at any time. Does it happen more to one ski than another? How about one particular engine? The conversation is there and sometimes it's even backed up with data. Other times it's complete heresay. It's hard to say if we can determine beyond the shadow of a doubt what was the worst jet ski engine due to owners and their brand loyalty. But the worst jet ski engine can be at least somewhat obvious to those who have had repeated issues with a particular engine. In an internet driven world, it is much easier to share experiences with engine failures and engine trouble than ever before. What are your thoughts on the worst jet ski engine ever?
I know Tigershark has faded into history, was this because of bad jet ski motors or other reasons? How about Wet Jet? aren't they another jet ski maker that went defunct?

The worst jet ski engine is any old pre 1998 Seadoo. Bad crank bearings and seals? Need I say more?

I agree, older Seadoo engines can get expensive, thanks to bad crank bearings.
