Fuel Efficient Jet Ski's and PWC's

Fuel efficiency in the automobile market is a huge selling point. The cost of driving an automobile from point A to point B has increased dramatically throughout the last two decades thanks to skyrocketing gas prices. Fuel efficient jet skis are all together a different animal. The personal watercraft is designed almost purely for recreation, therefore overall efficiency at the fuel pump may not be as important to perspective buyers.

Could poor fuel mileage of a jet ski actually turn away interested water hounds? Certainly this question is pondered in the engineering departments of all major watercraft manufacturers. The four stroke revolution attempts to tackle fuel efficiency and emissions from jet skis and there are even electric jet skis being brought to the open market. At some level, the operating costs of personal watercraft and waverunners are on the minds of consumers but does it affect purchasing decisions.
