No one can argue the fact that the Chinese are most certainly good at one thing, producing things... and producing them cheap. Chinese manufacturing is known globally for cheap labor and low manufacturing costs. The Chinese have tried the hand at all types of motorized vehicles in recent years including everything from motorcycles, atv's, scooters, go-carts, and even automobiles. But there offerings into the personal watercraft market are different than any of these other vehicles. A personal watercraft, or pwc, is capable of carrying riders into the open sea. Some issues with other forms of motorized Chinese vehicles are reliability and overall quality. When it comes to a water craft which has the ability to take human beings out into open water, levels of quality and reliability become matters of life or death. Chinese jet skis have not made a big splash in the pwc industry to this point most likely due to the confidence factor. There is no question that Chinese pwc's can be manufactured and sold at a much lower price than the major names in the business, but will the lower price be enough for consumers to trust their life or those of their family members riding these machines. Then there is the matter of replacement parts, the Chinese have had issues supplying repair parts with any uniformity for other motorized vehicles so why would a Chinese waverunner be any different? How about the hull? Could you trust a cheap hull made of questionable materials?
I would like to hear from some real owners who have experience on a Chinese jet ski.
I would never trust my life to a Chinese jet ski unless I had seen some serious testing done and a few years of consistent riding to establish some trust in the pwc.
